  21. the *President*, said that the section that would criminalize discussion of

  30. Wrong. If a parent buys an internet account for a child then ANYTHING 
  31. accessable to that account is accessable to the child. Therefore, the 
  32. internet provider is held responsible.

  34. Usenet newsgroups are considered "publically" available and as such, 
  35. minors have inherent access to them. Therefore, no obscene or indecent 
  36. material may be posted.

  38. "Indecent" is one of the key words. Everything from the Bible to scripts
  39. of movies rated "PG" contain indecent material according to community
  40. standards somewhere in the country. (There are already cases where people
  41. have been extradited from one state to face charges of violating community
  42. standards in another state/city). alt.support.rape is one of the groups
  43. that will be criminalized, as will groups that discuss medical problems
  44. and issues. Illegal pornography was ALREADY illegal on the internet or
  45. off. This bill merely makes ANYTHING offensive to any community illegal.
  46. If you post anything that would get higher than a "G"  rating in a movie,
  47. you could be liable in some part of the country, and you could face
  48. charges from many different cities and states. It all depends on whether
  49. someone wants to pursue you or not. Even making the KJV of the Bible the
  50. Bible can land you in prison.

  53. you're obviously unaware of the implications.

  57. You missed a LOT. As I said, go to the above site and read. Limiting the 
  58. free speech of every single person in the US because someone doesn't want 
  59. to learn how to use Surf-Watch or parental control facilities made 
  60. available by ISP's is not acceptable.
